For centuries together, Punjab has borne the brunt of foreign invasions carried out by the semi-civilized hordes who were driven by the fanatical barbaric ideology of Islam. Again, at the time of the Partition, Punjab suffered the most.Thousands of the innocent people were massacred, women were abducted and forced to convert to Islam. There were frequent incidents of arson and a half of the city of Amritsar was burnt down. Even after the Partition, Punjab bore the brunt of two full-scale wars with Pakistan. The present Islamic terrorism also is a continuation of that policy and ideology. But the pity is that most of the Indians are still ignorant of or indifferent to the dangers posed by this fanatical seventh-century tribal ideology which refuses to admit of any change. Our aim is to make the people of India aware of the nature and dangers of this ideology which has done incalculable harm not only to India, but also to the world as a whole.
Then there is the problem of distortion of the history of Punjab by certain vested interests with ulterior political motives. We must set the record straight in the light of the facts of the past. Our aim is to sift the facts from the fiction which some people have tried and are trying to turn history into.
Last but not least, we do not treat Punjab in isolation from other parts of India, as some groups do in the north-east and even in the south of India. Punjab is an integral part of India. We consider our own even that part of Punjab which now forms part of Pakistan. We cannot forget our holy places there like Katasraj the antiquity of which goes back to Mahabharat, Takshshila (now Taxla) where Panini, the great grammarian once lived and taught, the Sikh gurudwaras, and of course, Lahore which was the capital of the kingdom of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Thus the voice of Punjab is the voice of India and not the voice of a small group residing in a particular place.

No doubt your aim of sifting facts from fiction is laudable, but people have a habit of creating fiction while trying to state facts. There is one more problem, History always remains his story. So when some thing controversial is written by some person how so ever intelligent he or she may be is always condemned by the people of the community against which that thing is written. New problems emerge without solving the existing ones. This does not mean that right thinking people should become meek.
